[Ohio-talk] Our exchange student Nika

Our blind exchange student from the Republic of Georgia flew out of
the Dayton airport this afternoon.  My husband took him up there and
asked if Nika wanted my husband to get a pass so he could go back to
the gate with him.  Nika said "no," and turned to the ticket agent.
He said, "I need an escort and no chair."  I have been sharing our
recent discussions about the type of assistance we need at airports.
I am so proud of my son Nika.  He said he wanted to come to America to
learn to be an independent blind person and he is living his dream.
