The Piggest Raffle Ever!

Who do you know that could use $5,000? A 2 yr lease on a new car, that is
paid for? A chance to get out of town?

Adopt a Pig for $5 each and help promote the efforts of the National
Federation of the Blind of Ohio in training, education and mentoring of
adults and children with vision loss. Whether you are losing vision,
totally blind, newly blind or perhaps you know someone who fits in one of
these categories, you can help change things. If you have not yet met a
blind person, but are interested in offering support for the organization,
we welcome and appreciate you stepping out to do so.

Trivia note: The 18th annual Flying Pig Marathon takes place in
Cincinnati, Ohio, which by the way during the 1800's was actually known as
Porkopolis, the largest pork-producing city in the world.

What do you mean by adopting a pig? The Flying Pig Marathon encourages
charities to become involved in their race weekend, April 29, May 1,May 2
and offers creative ways to generate funds for the charities.

The adopter or ticket purchaser actually adopts a small plastic pink pig
with a number stamped on it's back that corresponds with the ticket number
and is placed into a Pigata ( the pig version of a pinata) and there will
be an official pig drop. The adopter is in the raffle for a first prize of
$10,000, with $5,000 going to the ticket holder and $5,000 to the charity
who sold the winning ticket; second prize of a 2 yr lease for a Toyota Prius
and third prize of a Cincinnati get away experience valued at over $1500.
Pretty cool prizes! And you do not have to be present to WIN!

How does it work and why should I participate? 1. We have actual paper
tickets to sell that have our name listed as the charity. The ticket needs
adopter information of name, address, phone and email address listed. They
keep the large piece of the ticket, and we turn in the bottom, smaller piece
of ticket (approx 3 inches by 2 inches.) The best thing is the NFB of Ohio
keeps all the funds generated from this! Each pig we get adopted actually
pays us! 2. We are listed on the Flying Pig website as an official charity
sponsor in a drop down box where people can also adopt pigs online.

3. Plus, we can make more than $5 on each ticket sold. Just like raffles
we have had in the past where you get a deal by purchasing more than one
ticket, you can also purchase get a deal here. $25 adopts 6 pigs, $50
adopts 12 pigs and there is also a box to check for Donation amount of
anything the person chooses to donate to the NFB of Ohio. One ticket does
it all. No need to fill out multiple tickets.

What do we need to do? Promote the race and the adopting of pigs on our
social media platforms, in emails to our friends, family, co-workers, church
family, business contacts, physicians, etc. Call a few people and direct
them to the website link or reach out to Richard Payne to purchase physical
tickets. Anyone you know could benefit from winning and they can feel good
about supporting a charity organization such as the NFB of Ohio.
