If folks would like to sign up for Amazon Smiles and support our affiliate
the name needed is -- Ohio Counsel of the Blind Inc. This is not easy to
remember so I actually had to check my account for the proper name as it is
indeed confusing. I am not a tech person and this was not logical to me. It
was under my first name and I spent time trying to find it under m for - my
account, c for cart, s for shop. Aw well, it showed up eventually and now
there is the answer to Sheri A.'s question. For my part I am glad I just
have to sign up once for the Ohio affiliate to receive benefits. Don't let
the small contribution discourage you. Remember that all money is countable
and it does add up. Also, there are Amazon gift cards on our Scrip
fundraising site. You can purchase a ScripNow card, or a paper card.

Thank you for the fundraising opportunities update for our affiliate. I have
a question about Amazon Smiles. I do not know if I have chosen the correct
charity, because the names listed are a little confusing. Can you please, if
you know, tell us the exact name that NFBO is listed under Amazon Smiles?

Merry Christmas to all!

We are still in the process of preparing for the Holidays so let me remind
you of our NFB fundraising opportunities that you can participate in for
both gift giving and raising a bit of money for the affiliate. Of course,
you can always feel free to treat yourself to something nice. Don't let
anything hold you back from participating at whatever level you are able to
do so. All money is able to be counted. 

 

We have our NFB Scrip Ohio fundraiser which is ongoing. The last opportunity
to order plastic cards is approaching quickly. The date is December 4 and
the time is 5:00 p.m. The time is a couple hours earlier than typical so be
careful to get the orders in on time. After December 4 you can still order
the electronic cards, print them out and then either give them as gifts or
spend the money yourself. 

The other options are Malley's chocolates whose link can be found on the NFB
Ohio website. Melina Zavoli is available to assist people with this project.

We also have tumblers available. If you are interested in purchasing a
tumbler you can contact Rachel Kuntz at email address
