Just made the call to the president of the state senate, Mr. Larry Obhof, it was live and this time there was no gentleman Mr. Adams but a lady by the name of Ann , I think. I conveyed the following message, more or less, what you told us:

(1) I reminded him that there was no opposition to this bill (HB-309) through the house and the Senate Judiciary committee and 

(2) Asked him to place this bill on the Senate floor for a vote for December 27 meeting.

Speaking of the lady on the phone, she was very nice, patient, receptive and attentive.

Mike and I attended the rules and reference committee meeting this morning. After the list of bills brought up for consideration in today’s session, ours was not mentioned. There was a brief discussion about 309 however brought up by Senator Thomas. The chair of the committee indicated that his staff would need to investigate if there was any opposition to this bill. As we know, there was no opposition so we are looking to December 27 for the next and last chance of our bill being placed on the agenda  for the next session.
We need your phone calls now more than ever to president Obhof’s Office at 614-466-7505. Please remind him that there was no opposition to this bill through the house and the Senate Judiciary committee and urged him to place this bill on the Senate floor for a vote. Thank you very much for all your efforts and support and all the work that you do for the Federation.
