Subject: [Ohio-talk] Action needed on the Marrakesh Treaty Implementation
Act
Hello NFB-O,
It is time for us to rally our troops for the Marrakesh Treaty! Please read
the message below from our national office. Phone calls are urgently needed
to Senator Rob Portman, because he is a member of the Senate Foreign
Relations Committee. His direct number is: 202-224-3353. Call him, tell him
you are a member of the National Federation of the Blind of Ohio and you are
in full support of equal access to information and to vote "yes" for S 2559.
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Sheri Albers, Vice President
National Federation of the Blind of Ohio

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
Howdy Fellow Federationists,
I hope this note finds you all well. As President Riccobono mentioned in the
President's Notebook earlier today, the US Judiciary Committee is speedily
moving towards consideration of the Marrakesh Treaty Implementation Act (S.
2559) with the Foreign Relations Committee moving in tandem. You are
receiving this note because your state has at least one member serving on
the Judiciary Committee, the Foreign Relations Committee, or both.
Over the next six days, building support from members on these committees
will be critical to the success of the treaty and its implementing
legislation. Please encourage your affiliate members to call the relevant
Senate offices and urge members to cosponsor S. 2559.
If affiliate members or you receive negative responses from Senate offices,
please let me know as quickly as possible. Thanks for all that you do to
build the Federation. I look forward to seeing cosponsors coming in over the
next few days!
Best,
...Gabe

together to help blind people live the lives they want.
