> Position Opening - Program Coordinator
> Description:
> At the direction of the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator will manage and oversee projects and programs of the Ohio Statewide Independent Living Council. The individual will strive to uphold the organization’s mission, vision, and goals while upholding the Independent Living philosophy through the development of SILC projects.
>  
> Responsibilities:
> -          Assist in the development of projects for the State Plan for Independent Living
> -          Oversee projects that subgrant awards to other organizations
> -          Work with subgrantees to provide technical assistance in completing project goals
> -          Coordinate activities to ensure sub-granting process is efficient and effective
> -          Distribute information and collect project reporting
> -          Develop project materials and ensure compliance with applicable grants and funding sources
> -          Oversee SILC Projects and assist in the development of projects for the State Plan
> -          Report quarterly activities of SILC projects for the Council Members
> 
> Desired Skills
> -          Ability to organize multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines
> -          Effective communication skills
> -          Proficient computer skills specific to Word, Excel, Publisher & Power Point
> -          Commitment to the Independent Living Philosophy
> -          Ability to travel to meetings and project locations
> -          Detail oriented and organized
> 
> Qualifications
> -          Knowledge and experience working with individuals with disabilities
> -          Bachelors in related fields preferred: vocational rehabilitation counseling, counseling, social work, psychology, disability studies, special education, business administration, human resources, economics or related rehabilitation or human services area, or work experience related to the job posting minimum qualifications.
> -          Experience working with multiple projects and providing technical assistance
> -          Personal experience with disabilities preferred
> -          Knowledge of Independent Living Programs
> 
> Individuals with disabilities strongly encouraged to apply
