Hi Michael,
Can you give the List an idea on how to write a testimony on how public transportation impacts an rider's life? Many of us take paratransit, but whether it's available depends on regular bus and train routes. If the buses and trains don't go to a location, neither does Paratransit. I take buses and trains, and although I transfer from one conveyance to another, that's not what irritates me. What really frustrates me is the waiting time between connections. Often, I could wait up to an hour between a transfer, which, aside from my frustration, also adds to how long it takes for me to arrive at my destination. Ubers are a possibility, and at times, I take them. I shouldn't need to resort to that, however. A city the size f Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati and even Dayton, should be able to provide timely and efficient public transportation. The problem is that legislators don't see the necessity of increasing transportation to the public. You would be hard pressed to find any of them on a city bus or train, but this is how the other half needs to get around.
Pardon my carrying on, but it would be great if you or Sheri could provide a outline on how to write such a testimony.
Best Regards,
Milena
