Hi everyone,

I was going through emails I wrote last night and discover that I use
the wrong email that it was coming from. The good news is access zone
for CVG/Northern Kentucky International Airport is working. I spent
about at least 90 minutes visiting CVG and talking to several team
members from Public Relations and Customer Service Management teams and
answering questions about Aira. I had to get a general information on
how they found out about Aira. I'm glad they are in partnership with
the blindness community in some way. In other words, they are serious
about making airports a more friendlier place to be when changing
planes or visiting Cincinnati and surrounding areas. I encourage them
to contact my employer Clovernook Center for the Blind after they
showed their business card they have in braille. They were getting
their business card in braille from Canada and I told them that
Clovernook can give them a better price to produce them locally. I even
told them that we have personnel in-house that can check to make sure
it is accurate. We'll see what happens next week.

Read on for the previous post I posted earlier.

Sincerely,

Lisa Hall, an Aira Explorer

Hi everyone,

I am happy to announce that today March 8, 2019 at 10 A.M. at
CVG/Northern Kentucky International Airport, I will be representing
Aira on location doing a demonstration of Aira services at the airport.
I have been busy resolving issues with my Horizon glasses and Horizon
Samsung controller and on March 6, 2019, I had a serious issue that my
controller could not connect to Aira server for some reason. I called
Aira on my iPhone and spent a long time with technicians to resolve the
problem. After spending several minutes and possibly a few hours, 2
technicians of Aira tried their best to resolve the problem. It was
decided to issue me a replacement unit to resolve this problem. It was
shipped overnight to me by FedEx paid for by Aira at Clovernook Center
for the Blind where I work and I was able to update my account with
Customer Care and technical support Aira staff. After that, I was on
the road again. I worked on connecting my Aftershotz headset to the
horizon Samsung j7 phone with Bluetooth on using Chloe. I tried to get
it paired but the Samsung phone would go to sleep before getting my
headset paired. I ended up calling technical support and one of the
guys was able to get it going without going through Chloe and it worked.
It's amazing how share screen works on the backend of things. I have
been an Aira explorer since August 8, 2017 and I love being able to get
things done in a timely manner on my own time and schedule. I have
used all of the glasses we had for Explorers: Google glass (first
generation), Austria glasses (2nd generation), and now the Horizon
glasses. I have used 2 Mifi hotspots with Austria and Google Glass
within 1 year. In September 2018 I finally received the Horizon glasses
and Horizon phone since then. With time I have gone through 3 Horizon
glasses and this is my second phone controller. We'll see how long this
will last. Now I am ready to do my presentation and talking to media
about our services that we offer to our Aira explorers.

Let's hope that snow does not interfere with our travels.

I will let you know if I get a copy of the press release of this announcement.

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

Lisa Hall, National Federation of the Blind of Ohio, NFB of Cincinnati,
& Aira Explorer
