CVS Pharmacy, CareMark:

Stop by the CVS table and talk  to pharmacist, Steve  who will answer your
health inquiries, administer vaccinations and more. He will have  seasonal
items and give aways as well.

WHAT IS NFB NEWSLINE & WHO DOES IT SERVE?

NFB Newsline registered is a service which provides blind and print
challenged US citizens access to over 470 newspapers and magazines,
including local, global & international publications, TV guide, job search
listings, Target & Walmart circulars, weather alerts breaking news & more.
This service is FREE and many individuals who qualify for this service are
completely unaware of its existence. Through the use of a land-line or
mobile phone, Internet computer & Victor Reader Stream; This tool offers
information, education, & independence through audio access. We want to
introduce this invaluable service to individuals who desire to read their
local newspapers, and magazines; so stop by the NFB Newsline Table and SIGN
UP!!

Guiding Eyes For the Blind

Guiding Eyes for the Blind: is a nonprofit organization that provides
superbly bred and trained dogs to people who are blind and visually
impaired. At our facilities in Yorktown Heights, NY, and Patterson, NY, we
breed, raise, and train exceptional dogs known for their exceptional
temperaments. Then we connect them to people who are seeking increased
freedom and independence, so that together, they can experience all kinds of
life adventures.

The Ohio Association of Guide Dog Users:

The Ohio Association of Guide Dog Users will have many wonderful things at
our table in the Exhibit Hall! We will be offering 10-minute chair massages,
from one of our Licensed Massage Therapists, for only $10. We will have
snack items for sale as well; and don't forget to check out our new Pampered
Chef online fundraiser, which kicks off at Convention! Stop by our table to
pick up a catalog and check out the items that our Pampered Chef
Representative has to offer.

En-Vision America 

En-Vision America is a company providing high-tech products aimed at solving
problems for individuals with visual impairment. The company has spearheaded
many innovations relating to labeling including voice-enabled products like
i.d. mate, the talking bar code reader, and ScriptAbility, which includes
Braille, large print and talking prescription labels. Originally founded by
Philip C. and David B. Raistrick in 1996, the cornerstone of the company is
based on one single premise: to provide those with vision impairment equal
access and greater independence through technology.

Aira 

Aira connects people who are blind or low vision to a trained professional
agent who is dedicated to further enhancing their everyday experience - at
the touch of a button. We do not have any paper literature but will be there
in person to explain the Aira service, provide demos, and answer any
questions anyone may have about the service.

ICanConnect:

ICanConnect provides individuals with deaf/blind and combine hearing and
vision loss, the equipment to communication. ICC program is under FCC.
Equipment that we provide are Computer, laptop, smartphone, tablet, phone,
and Braille.

Disability Rights Ohio, Columbus, Ohio:

Disability Rights Ohio is a non-profit corporation with a mission to
advocate for the human, civil, and legal rights of people with disabilities
in Ohio.

State Library of Ohio:

The State Library, along with the Cleveland Public Library and the National
Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled provide audio, braille and
downloadable books to eligible residents. The Talking Book Program provides
free recorded books, magazines and playback equipment to approximately
14,000 eligible blind, visually impaired, print disabled and reading
disabled Ohio residents.

Franklin County Board of Elections:

The Board of Elections will be taking the new voting machines throughout the
county to educate registered voters on how the system works.

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities:

OOD's Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired provides vocational
rehabilitation (VR) services to eligible individuals with blindness and low
vision to assist them to attain and maintain competitive integrated
employment. OOD works with adults seeking to enter the workforce or retain a
job, and with youth beginning at age 14 to assist them as they transition
from high school, to college and/or the workplace.

OOD's Independent Living Older Blind (ILOB) program provides training in the
areas of rehabilitation teaching and mobility and orientation training to
assist eligible seniors residing in Ohio with severe visual impairments to
remain independent. Services are designed to assist individuals to maintain
independent living and avoid the costly alternative of institutionally based
care.

See3D - 3D Printing for the Blind:

See3D Will have 3D models for people to touch, and flyers in print, large
print and braille. We have a banner that is on a tall stand for display.

Community Outreach, Department of Columbus Fire: 

We provide the blind and disabled community with safety in their homes with
Smoke Alarms and Carbon Monoxide Alarms.

All are welcome to explore the devices. Please come and sign-up if you live
in Columbus! However, if not! Come and get valuable information to help you
in your immediate area!

Soaps By Us, llc: 

Soaps By Us, "Experience the difference"

Owen's World of Art:

Come and learn about six acrylic or textured paintings, sizes 11x14 to 16x20
stretched canvas. I'll also auction 16x20 "Guide Puppy" painting at the
banquet.

Newsreel

Newsreel: produces a monthly audio magazine for the blind and visually
impaired.  The subscribers dictate what they want to hear each month. Often
they will record an article in their own voice.  The topics are wide-ranged
from an article on a piece of accessible equipment, and/or a demo on a piece
of equipment that they feel would be of interest to the listeners. We also
show case the many talents of our subscribers.  This is a nationwide
magazine with subscribers in some foreign countries.  Newsreel Magazine is
available in NLS  cartridge, flash drive, MP3CD, 4-track cassette and
download from the computer.

NFB of Ohio Membership Committee:

The Membership Committee will offer free items at the table for personal
use, such as lip chap, hand sanitizers, ink pens, microfiber cloths for
cleaning magnifiers and glasses  and more. In addition, we will raffle NFB
mugs with Braille embossing at the top of every hour. Moreover, literature
will be available for attendees to learn about the Louisiana Center for the
Blind, come and pick-up a 2020 Braille Calendar and a Learning Sight and
Sound catalogue for individuals who are limited in vision and hearing. Are
you learning the NFB Pledge? We have those Cards too. Members who visit the
Membership table will also be able to get Braille and Large Print
information, regarding how the census is used, and how it is inviting
individuals with disabilities to ensure their participation. Did I mention
candy?

Universal Vision Technology, LLC:

We provide accessibility technology of Electronic Magnifiers, OCR Readers
and other items.

The Ohio Association of the DeafBlind

Ohio Association of the DeafBlind: (OADB), purpose is to improve the quality
of life for the individuals who are DeafBlind and Hearing-visually impaired
and their surrounding community through advocacy, self-awareness, social and
economic opportunities. Activities stem from a Fall event hosted on October
5 at Lehrner's Pumpkin Farm in Radnor, Ohio. And, a Holiday event will be in
Brookville, Ohio on December 7, 2019.

Greater Akron Chapter:

We will provide a new car!

Kidding, that's from the Price is Right.

We will be selling NFB of Ohio wristbands. They are navy blue with raised,
tactile white lettering that says our web address NFBOhio.org, followed by a
dash, and then Live the Life You Want.

"FROM THE BACK OF THE BUS TO THE FRONT OF THE CLASSROOM."

At my table will be copies of my book for sell for ten dollars which focuses
on my journey as a blind and black Professor for thirty years and is
entitled, FROM THE BACK OF THE BUS TO THE FRONT OF THE CLASSROOM.

Also, I will be giving away, Braille calendars for 2020, copies of the new
Courtesy Rules Of Blindness and copies of some of my musical recordings
specifically, my Christmas recording, my original RandB recording and my
Country Soul recording as long as they last!

Guide Dogs of America empowers people who are blind and visually impaired to
live with greater confidence, mobility and independence by providing
expertly matched guide dog partners.

Cleveland Chapter:

Consider shopping at the Cleveland Chapter's table for Christmas gifts. We
have Candy Jars Decorated in selective colors, accented with bling, ribbon,
lace   and tulle fabric filled with goodies. Also, for jewelry lovers,
introducing "Paparazzi Bling Jewelry that will make your current items
jealous. To help you with your spending, a 50/50 raffel will be offered so
you can continue shopping.

Ohio Department of Insurance:

OSHIIP provides free objective information, education and counseling on
Medicare benefits and information on the process for low income
beneficiaries to apply for assistance.

Administration to get your questions answered. There will be literature in
alternative formats available as well.

VOICEcorps:

VOICEcorps reading service is pleased to have a table at the upcoming NFB
Ohio Convention in Columbus. VOICEcorps enriches lives by reading printed
news and other information to people who are blind, have low vision or other
conditions that prevent reading. We do this through providing special radio
receivers to our listeners, and online through streaming audio via our
website and electronic devices.

Foundation Fighting Blindness: 

The urgent mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness is to drive the
research that will provide preventions, treatments, and cures for people
affected by retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, Usher syndrome, and
the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases.
