Good morning,

Well, fall is almost here! This morning it is a little crisp outside, and though I shutter to think about it, there are already a few leaves that have fallen. This means that our national Federation of the blind of Ohio state convention cannot be too far away! By now hopefully all of you have registered for our virtual convention on November 6, seventh, and 8! And that means that plans for convention are well underway. I am so looking forward to calling our wonderful door prizes for everyone! But, in order to do that, I need all of your chapters, divisions, and you individuals to donate. If you would like to donate a door price. Please let me know. For right now, just hold onto it. Instructions will come later on where you should send it. But I do Want to start knowing what great prizes we are going to have. Please email me off list to tell me what you plan to donate. And, please make sure that you are registered for convention so that you can be among one of the winners!

Also, for all of you chapter and division presidents, please remember to complete your gavel questionnaires. October 1 Will be here before we know it. That is the deadline for submitting your gavel questionnaires and your awards nomination letters. Please make sure they get to me by then. We do not want any chapter or division to be left out of this year‘s awards!

I am so looking forward to convention! I know there are some surprises, and I know it will be different being virtual! But I also know it will be as exciting and energizing Is any convention done by the national Federation of the blind of Ohio!

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Everyday we raise the expectations of blind people because we know that low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want, blindness is not what holds you back.
