Fellow Federationists:
As you all know today is World Braille Day. The NFB of Ohio is using this
important day to launch our social media campaign in support of HB 448, our
accessible prescription labeling bill. We have developed our very own
hashtag to link all of the messages supporting HB 448. It is
#hb448AccessSavesLives Here is a sample of the posts we are starting with
for World Braille Day.
Today blind and deafblind people around the world celebrate World Braille
day. January 4 also marks the birthday of Louis Braille, the creator of the
code that has brought access to information to blind and deafblind people
around the world. It is now possible to have access to Braille labels on
prescription bottles. But this access is not readily available to blind and
deafblind Ohioans who need it. Help us change this unfortunate situation.
Let your State Representative know that you support HB 448.

Please post this or something similar to your social media accounts. When
posting to Twitter you will have to divide it into two posts because of
Twitter's character limit. I also encourage you to include your personal
stories about the importance of accessible labeling in your posts. I think
the personal stories work best as a lead-in to the post sample above.
Regardless of what you post in support of HB 448, please remember to use
the hashtag #HB448AccessSavesLives in the post.
Thanks, and please let me know if you have any questions.
