National Federation of the Blind of Ohio

76th Annual Convention

November 4th-6th, 2022

Millennium: Honoring The Past, Treasuring The Present, Shaping The Future

Richard Payne, President

As some of you know, our Affiliate president has been working on a location for the 2022 State of Ohio Convention. This announcement is to inform you that the location has been confirmed.

Here is the announcement by the Ohio Affiliate President, Richard Payne.

It is my pleasure to provide you with information on our location for the 2022 NFBO State Convention. Although, it took some time to secure, I wanted to ensure that all of our needs were met. It is important to me that every member and those who wish to attend have an opportunity to come and partake of all that the convention and the federation has to offer. Therefore, Researching and negotiating on specific accommodations for our group requirements, expectations and needs have been challenging. I have met with countless hotels in Cincinnati, Columbus, Toledo and Cleveland. However, the Doubletree by Hilton in Independence Ohio was the top choice. They have the amenities and space to hold the 76th Annual State of Ohio Convention.

Subsequently, the National Federation of the Blind of Ohio provides encouragement and motivation to families with blind children and to people who are losing vision or have become blind later in life. The Convention will be an opportunity for participants to learn about accessible technology from our Technology Fair, tips on living with blindness by attending educational seminars and more.

The 2022 Annual Convention of the National Federation of the Blind of Ohio (NFBOH) will be the largest gathering of blind people in the state. I encourage you to begin making preparations to be there the weekend of November 4th, 5th and 6th of 2022. Our 76th Convention will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 6200 Quarry Ln., Independence, Ohio 44131, (216) 447-1300. You now can reserve your room for $104 per night Plus tax.
