I was just getting up when I responded to this email so that it is clearer read on.

 

members should not post petitions to NFB listserv’s without first coordinating with leadership. In this example, Sadie is posting the petition as if this topic has been discussed and the NFB has taken a position. Sadie does not specifically state that but it is somewhat implied. 

 

Topics like this one should first be discussed and a resolution could be proposed. It would depend on exactly what the resolution said, but I am not sure a resolution on this topic would pass.

 

Many people use bags that roll which requires one hand for the bag and the other hand can be used with one’s white cane or guide dog.

Good morning, federation family. I just released a petition to require domestic Airlines to check luggage for disabled passengers for free. Whether our challenge is visual or mobility-based, dealing with a carry-on is a very challenging and sometimes unsafe burden, but because of the cost, sometimes is the only choice. Please join me in signing this physician so we can get this done, and don’t forget to share with your friends!
