Dear Ohio Affiliate,

 

Please join us in congratulating the 2026 NFB of Ohio Affiliate Scholarship
Winners: Grace Cho, Makenzie Love, and Warren Beaumont. These outstanding
students demonstrate determination, leadership, and a commitment to making a
positive impact in their communities.

 

Grace Cho came to the United States from South Korea and is currently
pursuing her Master's in Vision Science at the Ohio State University. She is
currently completing her graduate degree in a research lab and Fellowship.
Grace is looking forward to making an impact through her work on a project
focused on pedestrian signal identification for the blind community.

 

Makenzie Love has pursued her passion for braille education and has already
earned recognition for her accomplishments, including the 2025 Varsity Award
and the Harley Federman Award for Excellence, during the 2025 International
Braille competition. She is currently a sophomore at Miami University and
continues to build an impressive record of achievement.

 

Warren Beaumont developed a strong interest in leadership and service after
joining the JROTC program in high school. Although his goal of joining the
Navy did not work out, Warren did not allow that outcome to stop him from
pursuing his goal of becoming a leader. He now serves as a manager at his
school's dining facility and is currently a junior at The Ohio State
University, pursuing a degree in English and History.

 

We are proud to recognize Grace, Makenzie, and Warren as the 2026 NFB of
Ohio Affiliate Scholarship Winners. Their dedication, perseverance, and
leadership inspire us, and we look forward to seeing all they will
accomplish in the future. Congratulations to all three winners!
