Marianne,
I hope this message finds you well. I am in possession of two Perkins Braillers that I can donate to your cause. I just need to figure out how to get them to you. I believe both are still in their original boxes with the orignal packing material.
If you can send me an address to ship them to, I will work on packaging them up, and sending them off. I prefer to use UPS or FedEx over USPS.
On a side note, I can still read, but I am slow at it and still only know uncontracted.

Jim

Subject: [Ohio-Talk] Braille instruction

Please share this Information with your chapter and division members. As many of you have heard or read, January is Braille literacy month. Debbie Baker and I will teach uncontracted Braille or contracted Braille to anyone who is interested. We will also work with those who have let their Braille skills become rusty. We have both been teachers and also taught several blind adults to read Braille over the past several years. We offer this service free of charge to anyone who wants to learn. If you are interested you need to make a commitment to practicing Braille between lessons. We use the McDuffy Reader and it can be purchased through NFB Independence Market. If you are interested please contact me at marianne at denningweb.com<mailto:marianne at denningweb.com> or by phone at 513-607-6053.

On a related note, if you or anyone you know has a Perkins Brailler they no longer need or use please donate it to us so we can send it out to other people who need one. Perkins Braillers are expensive so if we can put a lonely Brailler in someone’s hands it would be greatly appreciated.
