Hey there PA Federationists!

It’s been a minute since I sent out an update. Sorry about that.

Episode 041 of White Canes Connect is now available! In it, we talk with
Myisha Allen, the author of Navigating This Thing Called Life. She tells us
that she doesn’t let her blindness or the fact that she only has the use of
one arm stop her from traveling and enjoying life to the fullest. She also
talks about being a blind parent to sighted kids. Listen on Apple Podcasts

In Episode 040, we talk to friends Trish Maunder and Katherine Allen from
Philly Touch Tours. They discuss how they train museum staff to make their
facilities more accessible to blind and low-vision visitors. They also
discuss Philly Meetup For The Blind, a social group that meets monthly, and
how you can start something similar in your community. Listen on this direct

In Episode 039, Lisa, Stacie, and I talk about White Canes Connect’s first
anniversary. We discuss our favorite episodes, what we’ve learned over our
first year, and the reach we’ve obtained. Listen to find out what country
has the second most downloads of the show. Can you guess what it is? What
we didn’t have was cake. I think we should have had cake to celebrate.
