Oh, I probably should have noted why it is a problem that I don't know the
bank account number.

As you may know, when I received the banking materials from our past
Treasurer after our February meeting, there were no checks in the materials
(save for the two marked "VOID"). I contacted our past Treasurer about this
matter, and she indicated that she had not received any checks upon
becoming Treasurer either. She shared that, when she needed to write
checks, she bought them at the bank counter.

Well, not only is this a time-consuming process, counter checks are very
expensive (I believe we paid eight dollars for two or three checks--money
orders are cheaper than that). Our new Chapter president, Jason, authorized
me to buy checks for the Chapter. As noted in the last email, it took quite
some time before the bank added me to the account. Once I was, I began the
process of ordering checks from an inexpensive, online check maker. I was
about to place the order when I realized that the account number on the
voided checks did not seem to bear any relationship to the partial account
number listed on our recent bank statements. I was quite concerned that any
checks I ordered would be no good and thus a waste of Chapter funds.

I planned to go to the bank to get this sorted out, but then COVID-19 hit.
As I noted in my last email, I will keep trying to get this information.

I thank you for your patience and understanding,
Caerlton
