Mrs Peters,
I was not honored to have known your husband, but I wanted to extend my condolences.  I know how challenging it can be waiting for the ashes, paperwork and all.

I would advise you to give yourself time when going through his things.  I got rid of everything right away.  It may not have been for the best, in hindsight.  Your situation may be different, just sharing my experiences.  Lots of love and compassion going your way!

I wondered if you might pack up his T-shirts in a box and wait a year.  In that time, you may be able to find someone who can turn them into a quilt or something similar.  Just a thought.
