MRS. BECKETT]Late 40s. Mrs. Beckett has lived in Jerome’s neighborhood in
Brooklyn for most of her life, remaining a stubborn local despite wave
after wave of obnoxious gentrification. She’s friendly to shop owners and
cab drivers, but gruff and dismissive to the unavoidable hipsters in her
path. She was born blind, and Rufus, her seeing-eye dog, means more to her
than even her late husband. (Mr. Beckett — devoted, but adulterous.) When
she loses Rufus on the street, she goes into complete hysteria and begs
Jerome for help. *GUEST STAR (MUST BE NY LOCAL HIRE)*

Logline:
An absurd comedy that follows an extremely sensitive young man in Brooklyn
as he goes way too far in his quest to adhere to society’s expectations of
traditional masculinity.

Synopsis:
Jerome is sensitive. Extremely sensitive. And he’s constantly going way too
far to cover up for it. Over the season, we follow him through
a series of absurd situations as he grapples with society's expectations of
masculinity, mines his past for insight on his present, and looks for love
in today’s Brooklyn.
