[Perform-Talk] Calling Performers for National Convention

Hello Sierra,

	Thats the spirit. There are ways blind people can make things happen for themselves if they seaze opportunities that come their way. We got tired of having to lean on rehab for training and other services we need to live independently and came out winners when we created alternative solutions for funding the products and services we need to be successful blind individuals.

	It's true that blind people including blind performers face challenges and discrimination whenit comes to employment and other opportunities but if such opportunities fall right into your lap and you fail to take advantage of them it's not just society that's at fault in such instances. We've told society that we have a right to expect equal shots it may offer but it's also our responsibility to persue opportunities that come our way and make them bear fruit for us.

I’m trying. Hopefully I can get into the training center before June 1 so I can go with them. Or if I don’t then I guess I’ll have to find another way somehow.
