Hi, Portia,
I believe there's a sample online schedule.
This is the first acting academy of its kind. :) So no one else has done it before. I'd say you'll probably be worrying about that at a different time. Good luck!

I have a question, about this event is uni of the you have ever gone to this before, you have any idea what time it finishes or how long it usually is? Only simply because I live in Pico Rivera, and I want to make sure that I can get home safe enough without having to worry about being out there too late and I am taking access paratransit yes! But is being that we're talkin about the USC campus so that's concerns me so far as my safety is concerned! Anyhow thank you so much and I will look into the website! I am 50 almost 51 so I will have to work on looking into some community center courses or something like that so that I can learn! And yes I would love to get in touch with the person that can help me one-on-one I would greatly appreciate that! I can send you my phone number privately through an email off list so as to not clutter the list any more than I've already have! Thank you both

Stick to whatever your emotional strengths are in acting. If that’s vulnerability, then select a monolog that’s on the more vulnerable side to showcase that. If it’s a strong,, bold character, then find something that showcases that. If you can’t think of those particular characteristics off the top of your head, think of movies or books where a character was someone you really identified with and felt for and try and find a monolog from that character’s role and pluck it out from there or look the script up for it. You could also dictate it and learn it that way.

Are you in the LA area? If so, how old are you? I might be able to help you out and give you a little more guidance if you’re in California. I can potentially help you hunt down other resources elsewhere, but I might not immediately know where that might be.

I would like to ask some questions here as I had heard about the actors classes that they have for the blind that starts on January 6th at the access acting academy! I do have the website and I have not filled out the application yet but I need to know if anyone has any ideas for a monologue that I can use for my audition for this course? I hope that someone can help me out here and answering any questions that you that I would have! Also are there any other courses that are geared for those of us that were in the visually impaired community? Thank you and I hope everyone has had a great Thanksgiving take care !
