[Perform-Talk] Call for Auditions: Performing Arts Division Singing Telegrams

Calling All Musicians:
 
For the past few years, we have been raising money for our division by brightening up the days of our loved ones with their own personal singing telegrams. So far our Board members have been primarily responsible for delivering these lovely messages in song. Now, as the holiday season approaches, we’re inviting you to be part of the fun!
 
The NFB Performing Arts Division is seeking auditions from blind musicians, both vocalists and instrumentalists, who are interested in delivering singing telegrams by phone, text or email. All you have to do is send an email to nfbpad at gmail.com no later than October 10, including your name, your home state, your contact information, a few sentences about your experience as a performer, and a brief audio or video recording of yourself performing a favorite holiday song. This could be anything—just think of a song that brings you holiday cheer. Since audio files can sometimes be very large, we recommend that you upload your file to Dropbox and send us the link. Our Board will then listen to your audition and send callbacks to those who are accepted.
 
Whether you are a vocalist or an instrumentalist, we hope you’ll join us this year in bringing special holiday greetings to our friends and family. We look forward to seeing your emailed auditions!
