Subject: W James- Blind Actor Wanted

My name is W James(my first name is just the letter), and I am a third-year graduate student in the Motion Pictures Department at the University of Miami. CCed is my Producer Dani Orlando.

My thesis film is about a man who is confronted with the person he blinded during a beep baseball game.

I was curious if the NFBPAD would be interested in assisting the production by helping my team and me find a visually impaired actor for one of the lead roles? Attached is the script.

The role is for Jeffery 30s, any race: A person who has moved on from tragedy but is equal parts infuriated and frustrated when the bearer of his tragedy shows up to invade his world—poised, stern, not easy for him to forgive.

This short film will shoot as soon as December 13, 2021, or as late as the week of January 10, 2022.

As the director, I am willing to fly the person out and provide housing. The film will also be submitted to the most prestigious film festivals around the country. The budget is quite small, but I think this story and the sport are important and want to do the material justice.

Linked below is my website with my work. Let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing back soon.

Thank you and have a great day,

W James
