[Perform-Talk] Newbie blind guitarist

When I started, a buddy loaned me a Telecaster and an amp. which was
awesome, but they weren't mine. Don't know if you can understand that
feeling.

I bought an Orangewood Morgan electro-acoustic guitar a couple months
later, as I wanted something quick, easy, and relatively inexpensive.
then, my guitar teacher's professor, apparently a rather famous
guitarist I had never heard of since I was brand new, was selling
several of his guitars at bargain prices. So, I now own a Godin 5th
Avenue CW Kingpin II hollow body with P90 pickups in cognac burst.
And, because I am impatient to own my own solid body, I bought a
Gretch G5222 Electromatic Double Jet last week. Which I love! but it
seems to have either a ground or short issue, maybe. Or static
electricity. since it gives a static discharge over the Fender Mustang
25 amp I also picked up whenever I touch the screw heads on the back
of the body of the Gretch. Sweetwater shipped me a 2nd Gretch to see
if the problem was unique. It is not. I don't know what to do at the
moment about that. I meant to have my guitar teacher check them both
out, but it just dumped a stupid amount of ice on central Arkansas
this morning. *sigh* So no getting out and about.

Oh, and I learned the hard way to get a humidifier to keep my study at
50% humidity so nothing else goes awry. the Orangewood Morgan acoustic
neck got out of alignment due to too low a humidity and I caught the
fret buzz issue very quickly and rectified it.

Yes, I just may have a guitar collecting problem. First step is
admitting you have a problem, right? ;)

I haven't had my hands on the Sire S7 yet. Supply chain issues mean
nothing in Central Arkansas to check out. I've been relying on the
Internet and youtube for samples of its tone, reviews, etc. Everything
seems very positive and the quality is where I want it to be. And
Sweetwater gives a guarantee, great customer service as I have
learned, and it makes me feel better about online ordering a guitar I
haven't played yet. I sound like a Sweetwater ad, but seriously, I am
not sponsored by them. ;) I wish I was!

I am in the U.S., in Conway, Arkansas, about 25 miles West of Little
Rock if that helps you visualize where I am. :)
