Hey Leslie,
Obviously it depends on your budget, but if possible I would advise that you get a specific microphone for your cello and another one that you can use for speech. You will need an audio interface for that, but your lessons or presentations will definitely sound clearer and more professional. A simple Behringer interface with just two mic inputs would be enough. As an instrument mic I would recommend the DPA 4099C which comes with a holder made specifically for cello, and you could use any mic for speech, depending on whether you want a lavalier microphone that attaches to your clothes or something that sits on your desk. For both options I would suggest looking at Rode, which sounds great and is generally not expensive. You can buy a Rode NT1A for less than 200usd and it will sound great.
Hope this helps,
IC

I haven't found the support at blue yeti to be very helpful, the USB port on my blue jetty keeps wearing out and I would like to get some thing that hopefully won't interfere with my sound card. For example, when I plug in the blue yeti I have to put my headphones on still be able to hear my screen reader. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
