[Perform-Talk] Memorizing exercises

Hi, I've definitely encountered the sort of thing you mention, where it
seems like a sequence but it's really not because it's like one or two
notes different each time the pattern seems to repeat. Unfortunately, that
kind of situation is honestly just kinda a pain, and all you can really do
is just go bar by bar, then try to group it into two bars at a time, and so
on. It's the sort of thing that you just have to drill and repeat quite a
bit I'm afraid. Unlike the previous respondent, I play something other than
a wind instrument, but it's an issue that applies across the board.
