Sorry for the somewhat off-topic post, but I imagine that most teachers know
at least one college student with a disability who could benefit from the
below info.

Workforce Recruitment Program for College Students with
Disabilities

The Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Labor (DOL) will
again co-sponsor in the annual Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) for
College Students with Disabilities. The WRP is recruiting approximately
1,600 students from over 200 colleges and universities across the United
States this year. The database with of potential candidates with
disabilities will be released in early March.

We invite managers and supervisors to participate and hire a WRP student
this year.

The WRP provides selecting officials with students and recent graduates
who have been prescreened and interviewed by trained recruiters from
Federal agencies. The WRP students bring energy, enthusiasm, and new
ideas to the workplace. The students and recent graduates have, or are
pursuing, degrees at the Associate, Bachelors, Masters, and Ph.D. levels
in many of the Federal agencies core occupations (e.g., biology,
geology, engineering, computer science, and administrative support
positions). The WRP provides students with disabilities with
opportunities to apply their studies in real work situations and
therefore, be better prepared for employment after graduation. The
database can be used for summer, temporary and permanent hires.

The WRP will assist in meeting your agency's MD-715 and Section 501 of
the Rehabilitation Act requirements. The two requirements encourage your
agency to increase the employment of individuals with disabilities.

The Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP) will again assist
by providing assistive technology and accommodation services to WRP
participants. By working through WRP, CAP helps to ensure a successful
Federal employment experience while cultivating an accessible
information environment for WRP participants.
