    Denise, thanks for sharing this story. I definitely used Braille books with each book containing many volumes. It did take time to find the novel my class was reading. However, I appreciated the ability to read the same novel as my classmates. While in elementary school, I enjoyed reading aloud from the Braille textbook, when the classroom teacher asked me to read aloud a passage. I am sure it is much easier for blind students to read textbooks that are placed on note takers. Yet, one must remember that technology can break and sometimes a person does benefit from having a hard copy of a textbook available.
