[Pibe-division] Question about Braille Plus 18

Regrettably, I have not had the opportunity to investigate the new APH product. I know that the version of android software utilize therein is nowhere near the current one. I don't know how much that might affect feasibility of it, but that is just something to take note. As for the apex, there is increasing consternation about its usefulness with respect to modern file types. Many, including yours Truly, have been disappointed that it will not open DOCx files. The beauty of the current landscape is that we have choices. That is a good thing, and will doubtless lead to increased competition and, hopefully, as a result, quality. I would be interested to know of others who investigate this device. I will get with our technology teachers here at the Louisiana Center in this regard, and hope to have a better report to this list in short order.
