Hello:

 

     If you are having trouble getting Kurzweil to scan with good results, I
suggest using the optimize process. It is in the scan menu. The process can
take ten minutes or more. I usually allow for all possible options.  The
process tries a wide assortment of scanner settings and when done you should
have better results. Be sure to save the settings under a new name. I
usually edit the settings to change static thresholding to dynamic
thresholding. Different materials will require different settings.  Hope
