---------- Forwarded message ----------
Dear parents of children who are blind/visually impaired,
Would you like to help your child get more active and experience the health
benefits of exercise?
Would you like to receive a FREE APH Walk-Run for Fitness Kit
<https://shop.aph.org/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_Walk-Run%20for%20Fitness%20Kit_1-07520-00P_10001_11051>*
(a $160 value) AND a gift card for participating in a study about fitness
for children who are blind/visually impaired?
If you answered yes to these questions, WE WANT YOU!
We need parents of children who are blind/visually impaired (ages 3-21) who
are willing to:
1. Record their child doing a short fitness demonstration (smart phone
or tablet recordings are fine) of skills like skipping and rolling a ball.
2. Help their children perform simple exercises that are fun and geared
towards family inclusion for at least 30 minutes a week over a 6-week
period. (Note: The APH Walk-Run for Fitness Kit and a guidebook showing
you exactly what to do will be mailed at no cost to you.)
3. Record their child doing a short fitness demonstration again after 6
weeks.
If you complete the study, you get to keep the APH Walk-Run for Fitness
Kit, and you will also receive a gift card! And even more importantly, you
will have learned some ways to make fitness a part of your child’s life!
If you are interested in participating or if you'd like more information,
please contact Dr. Ali Brian at brianali at mailbox.sc.edu or Dr. Laura
Bostick at lbostick at latech.edu.
Please forward this note to anyone who might be interested.
Thanks!
