Hello,

If you are a practicing TBS/TVI, and if you will be attending the NFB National convention in Orlando this year, please read the attached letter.

In brief, the National Federation of the Blind is working with Pearson Education Inc. to develop an accessible math editor for kids who are blind/VI. They will be doing user studies during the NFB convention and are also interested in the perspectives of teachers. The attached letter explains a bit more and asks you to complete a survey to determine your fit for the study.

I am working with this group, so if you have questions about the study, please feel free to let me know.

Thank you for your consideration.

Subject: The Long-Awaited TVI Recruiting Letter with Survey

Hi Everyone,

With Shari's help, I have finally been able to get the TVI survey and letter ready to send out. Please let me know if you have any questions. Valerie, the formatting on this letter may do the same thing the other letters did. I do not know why the margins are changing between our systems. For now, I guess that will remain one of many Microsoft Mysteries. <grin> Please feel free to change the formatting if you need to do so.

Dr. Bell - we also welcome you sending this out to your contacts since you said you have several connections with TVIs.

Also - FYI, the Nemeth curriculum team we have hired has requested that we recruit 6 TVIs, so I have increased the number in the letter from 3 to 6.

Best to you,
