I think this is definitely an area where blind students have a significant
deficit. It is so much easier to provide the teacher notes, have a note
taker (a person in the class) or other modifications rather than teach the
blind student to take notes.
I find schools use graphic organizers and other very visual note taking
training. This does not work well for Braille students.
I really like Robert's suggestion.

Hello,
I am a youth transition coordinator and support young blind adults as they
start college. I would say that the note taking skills that a blind student
needs are the same as a sited peer. Any articles or You Tube tutorials will
equip he or she if they are receptive and ready to improve their note taking
skills.

Subject: [Pibe-division] Notetaking Skills
Good Afternoon,
We have a student who is being taught skills to get ready for college along
with the use ADL stuff. The staff is noticing that whenever we ask him to
listen to a slelection and take notes, he basically does one sentence
recordings. Is there any information on notetaking skills for someone who
is visually impaired?
