For some funny reason, the following two Enabling commands stick in my mind,
(after almost ten years of not having used an Enabling product) which may be
of help.

After you're done changing margins, settings, etc, use the following
sequences:
1.0 to set the currently active configuration as the default, and
1.1 to exit the configuration menu.

If 1.0 is not issued, then indeed, the printer may be using an entirely
different configuration as the default one (remember, Enabling products have
16 configurations you can choose from, so the one you're changing may not be
the active (default) one).

If it's the blazer, then I must plead ignorance:).

Many of Enablings printers have sets of settings from which one can choose
and one has to pick a group of settings as the default.  I am wondering if
the defult may 
have changed so that settings are not being lost but are defaulting to
something that is conflicting with Duxbury settings.  On my Romeo, there is
a plastic piece that 
must be placed over the embosser bar and weighs the paper down just before
it goes under the bar.  If this piece is not in place or is placed
incorrectly, the paper 
out indicator goes off.  It is really hard to be sure what is happening
remotely.  I am not real clear, though, If she is talking about the Juliette
or the Blazer.
