I use VoiceOver almost exclusively now. I have two mid-2011 iMAC 27” novels. I did not want the bigger screen, but rather the faster processors that were only available on that model. I use one as my production machine and on for testing and development. I use separate profiles to keep things segregated. although I can run everything on either machine in case one fails. I do have Window-Eyes running on a Windows 8.1 Update 1 machine that I do support on. I also run VMware fusion and run many operating systems under it for testing. Unfortunately although VNware Fusion works OK with VoiceOver, it does not extend to the virtual guest operating systems. That is also where Window-Eyes comes in.

P.S. Text the word BLIND to 85944 to donate $10 to the NFB Imagination Fund via your phone bill.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can have the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
