Hello Kenneth,

We are sending out a special newsletter as the Canute could receive some vital funding - with your help!

Bristol Braille Technology stands a chance of getting 20k from Jisc ( <http://braillists.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=f8b3c5f851151c8180717ff70&id=319b3fe996&e=27a7f98653> https://www.jisc.ac.uk) - but first they need to get 250 votes, so now is your chance to really push the development of the Canute one step further! 

Bristol Braille Technology has worked closely with the Braillists since 2014 committed to implement their feedback, while the Braillists commit to tackling the difficult compromises inherent in designing Canute rather than simply lobbying for improvements. This relationship has brought the Canute to where it is now - ready to expand access to Braille literacy to all blind people.

BBT will be spending the summer and autumn running an ambitious series of pilot programmes in blind schools. These pilots will inform the design of the Canute prior to going to manufacture for general distribution in the winter. To run these pilots BBT will need a further £20,000.
