[Quietcars] more hybrid buses in N.Y.C.

Yesterday the Head of the Department of Buses in
N.Y.C. confirmed to me that all additional bus
purchases will be hybrids.  There are now 850 and that
number will be doubled.  He said this new batch will
have mechanical equipment that will be a bit more
audible as it performs its normal functions such as
ventilation.  Evidently there is no data reflecting
more pedestrian accidents with hybrid buses, but I
shall continue to seek the figures.
