[Quietcars] opposition to quiet imitation horse carriages in Manhattan's Central Park

Recently there was a strong effort by those concerned about the ethical treatment of the horses that pull carriages in and around Central Park, to replace that major tourist attraction with imitation horse carriages powered by electric motors.  In my statement during a public hearing conducted by my neighborhood's Transportation Committee, I described how nice it is to hear the hoof beats of an approaching horse carriage, and how scary it is to think of a silent imitation carriage approaching.
