[rehab] Offering a resource and asking a question

I know in Nebraska that Easter Seals operates a couple of loan programs.
Some of them are for work only. Otherss aren't. The Assistive Technology
Partnership in Nebraska coordinates funding that the Commission for the
Blind & Visually Impaired can't provide. I believe there are similar
programs in other states. The agency covered by the Assistive Technology
act in each state should know about these programs. It will be nice to have
something compiled in one place.

Colleagues,

I thought you might appreciate the resource below, then read on for my
request.

For a 50% scholarship in purchasing assistive technology:

I am looking for resources similar to this one on purchasing assistive
technology for those who for whatever reason do not qualify for vocational
rehabilitation funding. Any suggestions/websites are deeply appreciated.

Sincerely,
Elizabeth Sammons

December is Safer Toys and gift Month. The South Carolina Commission for
the Blind offer these tips when selecting toys for young kids: select toys
appropriate for child's age, select toys that don't have sharp, projectile
or protruding parts and check to make sure toys meet national safety
requirements.
