Autism Spectrum Disorders: What VR professionals need to know

TACE 5 is pleased to announce the availability of a new online course "Autism Spectrum Disorders" !

Course Objectives 

Upon completion of this course, the VR Professional will: 

* Define and understand the range of Autism Spectrum (ASD) disorders 

* Demonstrate knowledge of common characteristics of ASD 

* Identify potential barriers to employment 

* Establish accommodations to alleviate barriers to employment 

* Develop plans to assess and assist those with ASD in obtaining and maintaining meaningful employment 

What You May Expect 

There are three chapters, each consisting of approximately 30 minutes of course study, and additional time for reflection and optional assignments (individual time will vary). Successful completion of the quiz at the conclusion of the course is required for credit. Once completed, you will receive 4 CRC credits OR certificate of completion. 

What You Will Need 

* Commitment and time to complete the course. 

* A quiet place free of distraction. 

* Time for reflection. Don't try to read the entire course in one sitting. 

* Practice the skills presented with your consumers. Learning only takes place when the information is integrated into practice.
