[rehab] Justification concerning the purchose of a mac

Does the Mac cost any more than the PC they would normally get for her?  Saving $800 on JAWS might be pretty good incentive.  On the other hand, when she gets out of school and wants to get a job, employers are more likely to insist on PC knowledge.  She may regret it later but I think it should be her mistake to make.  Maybe advise her to research the computer usage expected in her field.  She may have more freedom of choice than we government workers.

Dear List, Their is a young lady who is on another list I'm on, and she wants rehab to purchose a Mac computer for her. Her justification is that the mac includes voice over, and being a client of our rehabilitation program here in Florida, this to me doesn't sound like a verry strong justification. Does rehab purchose Mac's for clients, and what would make the purchose of a mac more feasible than the purchose than a lap top running windows? RJ _______________________________________________
