Hello,
In Nebraska, once a person has a vocational goal, he/she can get a referral to a technology specialist. The client, counselor and technology specialist discuss what technology is needed. The client then submits a request including what the technology will be used for. The technology request must indicate how the technology will support the vocational goal.
Once technology is requested, the request must be approved by the counselor and district supervisor at the recommendation of the technology specialist. Technology is then purchased and issued. people are welcome to use lab technology for learning at any time during the process. Your agency may have a lab where you can work on job applications, assignments or educational materials.
I wish you the best in your vocational pursuits.
