Dear Asanda,
Your questions are excellent, so I am sending this response to the
listservs too.
Their primary focus is on veterans, given the recent wars and the need to
find employment for vets. However, TAD PGS, also known as ADECCONA, is also
tasked with finding jobs for persons with disabilities, and they originally
approached me to recruit blind people through the NFB.
I recommend that blind jobseekers do whatever they ask veterans to do. I
have experience working with them over several years and they have been
helpful to blind jobseekers. They provide one of the easiest ways to get
into federal employment through temp to hire.
Terri Pacheco is a new person, and I have not had a chance to communicate
with her personally. I will soon. If you run into any problems, email me
at ddavis at blindinc.org.
Best wishes,
Dick Davis, Chair
NFB Employment Committee

The directives are always very pointedly speaking about veterans, but what
it sounds like you are saying here is that any person with a disability
regardless of being or not being a veteran is welcome to apply?
Does a person not of veteran status have to follow up as stated for those
of a veteran status also if they do go ahead and apply for a job? It would
seem to me that they are mostly wanting to track veteran employment, not
employment of any non vet, but I am not certain of this. Do we all have to
get back with this contact person if/when we got a job or no?

Please find attached the current TAD PGS job report.
Once a veteran has found a specific position, email
terri.pacheco at adeccona.com <mailto:terri.pacheco at adeccona.com
<terri.pacheco at adeccona.com>> a copy of their resume and the role for
which they are applying. Be sure to INCLUDE the job ID number in the
subject line and we will contact the recruiting team on your behalf. Do not
have your veterans apply for a position directly on the website, as we will
not receive notification that they are a veteran and won't be able to
follow up with the appropriate recruiting team. It’s that easy!
To find job information please follow the steps below
1. Go to www.tadpgs.com
2. Click on “Find a Job”
3. Click on “Search Jobs”
4. Enter the JOB ID number from the Job Report
5. Click on “Find Jobs Now” (If the job is not found the
position is no longer available)
Veterans, spouses, and persons with disabilities are highly encouraged to
apply.
If you know of any other DVOP’s, LVER’s, organizations, or individuals who
might be able to reach out to more veterans to help them get employment,
please have them contact me, and I will include them on the distribution
list for the weekly job report.
We look forward to continuing to work with and supporting your veteran
candidates.
All the best,
Terri Pacheco
