[Rehab] More Light Causing Happiness?

Hi everyone. I'm not exactly sure how to word this question, but here is a bit of an explainer. It was Saturday evening and I had just finished supper. I was sitting at my computer desk when I heard a knock at the front door. It was a friend of one of my downstairs neighbors with some leftover French bread from their dinner together. Anyway, I didn't have my lights on since I don't have any usable vision. She asked why I didn't have my lights on, and I told her it was because I don't need them when alone in my apartment. Later that evening another neighbor and I were discussing this. Apparently this friend had told him that I had no lights on. Here's my question. For those of us without any kind of mood disorder or anything like that, does light actually lead to more happiness? Have any rehab professionals on the list found this to be true? I'd write more, but I don't want to disclose anyone's personal information. I hope this all makes sense, and thank you for any responses. I was honestly a bit caught off guard by the question and in particular the conversation in the front hall that followed.
Jake
