Kelly asked who serves Coachella valley. Carmen said that we used to have a person, but we no longer do. Carmen recommended them to at large chapter.

Tippy asked If you still need a Doctors form every year. Francina stated If they have the faxed number for her doctor, she was able to get it done that way.
>> Carmen stated she wanted to get a schedule for the technology and book club. So, we know when events take place such as once a month for technology Kelly stated once a month sounds good.
>> Carmen stated that she talked to someone from national about the Constitution and that we do not have it yet. Kelly stated that he needs to investigate how much he can do regarding technology outside of work because of work policies. Carmen stated that we can redirect it or do other things. Kelly stated that someone can do the technology presentations. Paulina stated that she could present something regarding technology. Carmen agreed.
>> Carmen asked If everyone read the Presidential release. Sylvia, and Amanda said yes.
>> Kelly explained how the Presidential release is a conversation with President Riccobono and Pam Allen. He explained that it is a zoom link that is provided which is later turned into a podcast. Kelly stated a link for all releases we sent to the email list. Kelly summarized President release 502 February 2021.
>> Topics included Black History month, blind driver challenge, research regarding blindness in a journal, members writing for the journal, in addition to writing for the Braille Monitor, a Diversity and Inclusion survey, an open discussion will be held on March 8th by the Diversity inclusion committee. Will be regarding unemployment benefits.
>> Carmen asked If anyone would like to summarize the Presidential release for the March meeting? Paulina said she would summarize the Presidential release. Tippy stated she would summarize the Presidential Release in April.
>> Carmen mentioned the Sunshine committee. She asked IF we had any birthdays in February? Celebrated Francina’s birthday. Carmen asked If we have any birthdays in March? Tippy said no in March.
>> Paulina suggested having people mute unless people are speaking. Carmen, Angela, and Tippy agreed.
>> Carmen wished a happy valentine’s day to everyone.

>> Angela suggested raising hands during the meeting to limit people talking over one another. All agreed.
>> Discussion was mentioned regarding membership by all members. Carmen stated that sighted people can be members, but they cannot hold a primary position such as President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer.
