Creating Accessible Social Media Digital Ads & Posts

Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 10 am to 11 am PT

We often focus on the accessibility of documents and websites and forget about social media – including social media ads and posts. This content, including digital ads on Facebook, Twitter, or other platforms, often has significant accessibility gaps. Join Michael Parker from Access Ingenuity to learn tips, tricks, and best practices for creating accessible and WCAG-compliant social media ads and posts. By developing a better understanding of how the WCAG requirements apply to social media ads and posts and how assistive technology users access your content, you can increase their accessibility and ensure that your messages get communicated to the widest possible audience.

Learning Outcomes

*	Understand the importance of making social media content accessible.
*	Understand what elements you must check manually and efficient techniques to use a screen reader to test social media content.
*	Understand how to deal with platform limitations when designing social media ads and posts.
