The Braille Revival League is a special interest affiliate of the American Council of the Blind. We are interested, as an organization, to promote the use and recognition of braille in our country and around the world. As part of our work we hold a meeting every even-numbered  month on the third Wednesday at 8:30 PM Eastern called the "braille Buzz". On October 19 we will meet via Zoom as usual at 8:30 PM. This month we are proud to welcome Brian MacDonald from the National Braille Press (NBP). Mr. MacDonald is the executive director of that organization and will provide us with updates of some of the directions NBP is going. We will hear about new publications. We will learn about efforts to promote various kinds of braille teaching. We will hear about a maps project NBP is now administering. We will learn about the Touch of Genius award and who has won it. We will talk about special magazines being published as well as the Children's Book Club. I am sure that Brian will also have lots of things to talk about which I have not listed here. The National Braille Press is one of our most important sources of braille and we need to know as much as we can about what they are doing.
