Welcome to Tech On Tap, the new name for the V I Labs Newsletter

Tech On Tap is the new name for the NCBI Labs Technology newsletter. We’re still going to have great tech content for you on everything from screen readers to smart home technology, so if you’re a fan of tech from an accessible perspective, you’ve found the right newsletter.

Why the new name?
On Monday of this week, the National Council for the Blind Ireland changed its name to Vision Ireland. So NCBI Labs is now called V I Labs. We decided to take this opportunity to give our newsletter a catchy new name as part of that, and Tech On Tap was born. 

Tech On Tap will land in your inbox each Friday giving you everything you need to know from the world of accessible and mainstream technology. If you liked the old NCBI Labs Newsletter, you’ll love Tech On Tap.

What else is new?
Talking Technology with NCBI Labs has simply become Talking Technology with V I Labs, while our technology YouTube channel has also taken the V I Labs name. We’re the same team dedicated to providing you with the latest news in technology for people with sight loss, we’ve just got a fancy new more accessible brand now. 

We’re excited to bring more tech content your way in the weeks, months, and years ahead, and we really hope you enjoy reading Tech On Tap each Friday.

The service is free for people with sight loss and their families. We also offer technical advice on assistive technology to schools and employers.
