Windows Accessibility Features

Windows offers several programs and settings that can make the computer easier to see, hear, and use. These include magnification, screen reading, dictation, live captioning, etc. You can adjust a lot of accessibility settings and programs directly through keyboard shortcuts. We are using accessibility features in Windows 11 and Office 365.

This Week's Shortcut:

With voice typing in Windows, you can enter text on your PC by speaking.
To use voice typing, you'll need to be connected to the internet, have a working microphone, and have your cursor in a text box, Word document, Outlook email or any other application involving text editing.
To turn on voice typing, press Windows key + H.
Once you turn on voice typing, it will start listening automatically. Wait for the "Listening..." alert (an audible sound), before you start speaking.
To stop voice typing, say a voice typing command like "Stop listening", or press Windows key + H again.
