in the field of low vision and blindness.
Description of Webinar: Have you heard about Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and
wondered if they could be useful for people who are blind or have low
vision? These AI-powered glasses offer features like voice control,
real-time AI assistance, reading printed text, and object recognition-but
how do they work for people with vision loss? Join us for a webinar to
explore their capabilities, learn basic functions, and discuss real-world
applications. Whether you are curious about their potential or considering
them as a tool for daily life, this webinar will give you a clearer picture
of what they can do.
Participants will learn: 1. Understand the key features of Ray-Ban Meta
smart glasses and how they function. 2. Understand how AI-powered tools in
the glasses, such as voice control, reading text, object recognition,
communication, and daily tasks. 3.Evaluate the potential benefits and
limitations of using Ray-Ban Meta glasses for people who are blind or have
low vision.
Speaker: Amanda Stolz is the Chief Programs Officer of Adult Services at the
Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired South Carolina. She has been
a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist and Certified Teacher of
Students with Visual Impairments for 15 years.
